Tay Filrup is an American mixed media artist living in south Sweden. She was born in an incredibly small farming town in California and later raised in the Biggest Little City, Reno, Nevada. Since 2016, Tay has resided in Vancouver, San Diego, Copenhagen and Malmö––growing her art along the way.

She specializes in colorful, cartoonish portraits with contrasting highlights. Her mediums are Copic markers, acrylic, and Procreate.

In August 2017, Filrup debuted her first art show, titled "Bittersweet," in San Diego and Copenhagen.

She draws inspiration from her Latina roots, hip hop and R’n’B, fashion, aliens, cartoons, drag culture, and powerful women––resulting in energized and uncanny works with a bit of creep factor.

She spends her time creating fine art, making content, running this online shop, creating clothing, designing art for businesses, and pushing for the next thing. She has designed multiple customized objects such as sneakers, prosthetics, basketballs and more.

Tay Filrup is creating her own world filled with punchy colors, nudity, and imagination. She hopes you enjoy spending some time living in it.
